Happy 2020! The beginning of a new year is a time for reflection, celebration, and inspiration.

As we reflect on our 2019 year at Looking Glass Child Development Center, there are so many things to celebrate!

Our youngest students rolled over, took their first steps, and said their first words.  They formed bonds with their caregivers and started to explore the world around them.

Our toddlers and early preschoolers made friends in their classrooms, gained independence, and soaked up every opportunity to learn and grow.

Our preschoolers and Kindergarten Prep students started writing and reading, they learned how to resolve conflicts on their own and their bonds with their friends grew stronger.  We watched them graduate and while it was bittersweet to say goodbye to some, we also got to celebrate their first week of Kindergarten and  Young Fives.

As centers, 2019 was a year of growth. We welcomed new staff members, including new Directors to our Looking Glass Family.   Our classrooms grew, resulting in the addition of a second after care program in DeWitt and the opening of the final two classrooms in Grand Ledge. As a team we celebrated passing our renewal and permanent licensing inspections with flying colors. We celebrated our staff finishing classes, adding to their families,and furthering their credentials.

There were so many wonderful little moments that added up to quite an amazing year.  These are the moments that inspire us as educators. They encourage us to do better and be better.  We are excited about the things coming in 2020 for our staff, students, and families.
